I was born on January 7, 1973, in Tassaft Ouguemoune, Ibou- drarene, Tizi Ouzou. I graduated from the Institute of Foreign Languages (ILE) at Mouloud Maameri University in Tizi Ouzou. I completed this historical novel in 2024, driven by my fascina-tion with the Battle of Ichariden, a topic frequently discussed by historians. This inspired me to write about the resistance against the French oppressor. Through this novel, I aim to introduce my region, Kabylia, to the Anglo-Saxon world, as there is a lack of documentation on Kabyle society in English. This work follows my first novel, titled "The Eternal Snow." Although several no- vels concerning my community have been created in French by authors including Mouloud Feraoun, Mouloud Maameri and others, there is a lack of English versions. I have also penned a French-language novel that remains unpublished, alongside various works in Kabyle, including poems, stories, a film script, and monologues. Additionally, I have translated some fable by La Fontaine from French into Berber.
